I've been playing this game at my friend's house, and I believe that is is cinematic enough to make a movie out of. With amazing graphics, a lot of dialogue (albeit over the radio), and a lot of backstory that is told throughout the game through cassettes that are found and played would really make it an experience where new information would be learned all the time. The story is great also, and watching it would be just as exciting and scary as playing it is. I'm sure that you'll agree.
By the way, nice job with the site recently! There have been so many updates that I'm getting dizzy! ;) _________________ ~VGH FAN~ |

Bioshock would be amazing, so would soemthing like Assassin's Creed and Mass effect.
But Bioshock is on the 360, which I'm not sure yic17 has. (cause all the game-movies so far have been on the PS2). _________________ [img]http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b141/NergiZed/AwsomeDance.gif[/img |

yep, I don't have Xbox 360 .. if I have, I'd do Lost Odyssey for sure.
I do have a PS3 though, so you'll be getting PS3 video game movies =) _________________ Video Games Heaven

| Bioshock is available on PC also and I think it will be easy to make one but we will need help from yic17. So I request yic17 once again to post few tutorials about making such videos so we all can work together and make few more great Game Movies. |

To record off PC, there are a few methods.
1. Use your video card to output the PC to TV. Record using a VCR and then transfer the VCR into the computer.
2. Use a PC desktop recording program such as FRAPS.
You're right, it would be great if people can play, record for me and give me the files to edit those videos into a movie. Because I am so busy that I rarely have time to even play games anymore. _________________ Video Games Heaven

since I upgraded my computer + graphix card, Bioshock might be possible. other PC games I'm thinking about are:
- Oblivion (with tons of cool mods)
- Half-Life 2: Episode 1 + 2
- Sam & Max: Season 1
- Myst 4 & 5
- Jade Empire
- The Witcher
- Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 1 + 2
- Assassin's Creed
- Overlord
- Penumbra: Overture & Black Plague
the only problem is that .. I am not too good with FPS games and I'm not into Horror genre as much as before anymore. so, I will have to think about Bioshock. it would be cool though to see it as a movie.
if you guys can think of any other PC games with good graphix/story, let me know. _________________ Video Games Heaven

Oblivion is now on the PS3...it would be awesome to see it but it would also be a TON of work!
Also, I'm pretty sure I read that Bioshock is coming to the PS3 as well.
Just thought you should know about this considering both games require a really good PC (though you did say you upgraded). _________________ ~VGH FAN~ |

hehe .. let you know a secret ..
I am actually working on Oblivion now with my PC =)
it's really amazing .. I think you will love it.
I am using many really cool mods. cool companions, extra enemies, improved textures, weapons + armors, side quests and so on.
right now I'm really enjoying playing + making this film.
the editing is very good.
it feels just like you're the character walking through this fantasy world.
it's going to be an exciting 1st person movie!!
my new PC can definitely handle Bioshock since it can handle Oblivion, Mass Effect + Crysis with no problem =)
the only problem with Bioshock is that I'm not too good at first person shooting .. so we'll see. it's possible though. _________________ Video Games Heaven

Hooray! It's like a dream come true! I CANNOT WAIT until you finish Oblivion. I'm sure this is going to make a lot of people happy
I went into Bioshock with the exact same mindset, so I decided to play on the easiest difficulty. It was extremely easy that way, so you could consider doing that. Then again, having really easy enemies might not be what you're looking for in a video game movie; I just kept shooting and never really had to get creative with how I disposed of them. I guess it's your call.
Anyways, I can hardly contain my excitement right now about Oblivion! Good luck on this massive project! Oh, I guess I have one more question...are you including the guild quests? I would really like to see some of those (especially the Dark Brotherhood ones...just wait until you do the murder mystery quest. It was born to become part of a video game movie.). _________________ ~VGH FAN~ |

haha .. Dark Brotherhood huh ..
my character is sorta "good" type though. but I was thinking, maybe I will do the Dark Brotherhood quest as a special chapter where the character wears an "evil-looking" mask ... so it's his 2nd identity =)
we'll see how that turns out.
it's doing very very well so far, the recording and editing. very exciting on this project. I plan to release multiple chapters.
Chapter 1: Main Quest
Chapter 2: Knight of the Nine
Chapter 3: The Lost Spires (mod)
Chapter 4: Shivering Isle
this way I can release Main Quest without finish the ENTIRE thing. that'll take a long time.
lets hope it will turn out to be an amazing film!! =) _________________ Video Games Heaven

Bioshock has been out on PS3 for quite some time, if that helps.
Also, the prequel, System shock 2, is quite compelling as well, though quite difficult to get to run on a modern gaming rig. I'm sure the reason you arent very good at FPS games is that you have simply bypassed the genre in the past. Once you get hooked on the story your skill will grow tenfold, just stick with it and dont pick the easy difficulties! |

| I concur that I would love to see a Bioshock movie. I watched what is available on Youtube (the first 45 min) and it is quite brilliant. Unfortunately that's all there is. Definitely one of the more unique and engrossing game experiences I've come across. An important work of art imho. Great site btw. |
